By registering for a class with DisasterDesk, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Class Attendance and Punctuality

  • Students must arrive on time. Classes start promptly at the scheduled time.

  • Late arrivals may not be admitted and will not be refunded or rescheduled.

  • No-shows are non-refundable.

2. Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled class time are eligible for a partial refund or a one-time reschedule.

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before class are not eligible for a refund.

  • Students may reschedule once, if notice is given at least 48 hours in advance.

3. Certification Requirements

  • To receive certification, students must actively participate in the class and pass all required skills and written assessments.

  • Certification cards will only be issued to students who meet all American Heart Association (AHA) requirements.

4. Course Materials

  • If your class includes a manual, the paper version will be available for pickup at the start of class.

  • eBook versions will be emailed within 24 hours of purchase.

5. Health and Safety

  • Students should not attend if feeling ill. Please contact us before class for guidance on rescheduling due to illness.

  • All equipment is cleaned and maintained according to CDC and AHA standards.

6. Code of Conduct

  • Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Instructors reserve the right to dismiss any student who interferes with the learning environment.

  • Dismissed students will not receive a refund.

By completing your registration, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.
